Police in Edo State have arrested three men suspected of involvement in a kidnapping case in Jattu, following a tip-off from the public.
The Edo State Police Command said officers from Jattu Division, working with the Edo State Security Corps, detained the suspects on 15 May 2026 after credible information placed one of them at Jattu Market.
The men were identified as Nura Dahiru, 22; Ibrahim Yakubu, 25; and Abubakar Inusa, 23.
Police said two of them, Dahiru and Yakubu, were positively identified by the victim, Ibrahim Jemila, and another witness as members of the gang responsible for her abduction on 13 May. Jemila was later released.

Commissioner of Police Monday Agbonika said the arrest showed the command’s commitment to tackling kidnapping and violent crime in the state.
Agbonika urged residents to keep providing timely information to the police through the command’s emergency and complaints lines.
The command listed its emergency control room numbers as 08077773721 and 08037646272, with additional lines for the Public Complaints Bureau and Complaints Response Unit.
