India Donates Emergency Medical Supplies to Support DRC Ebola Response

Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has welcomed a shipment of emergency pharmaceutical supplies from India to help tackle the Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

The consignment arrived in Uganda was received by Africa CDC’s Eastern Africa Regional Collaborating Centre.

It includes diagnostics, therapeutics, infection prevention and control materials, and equipment for case management.

According to the CDC, the supplies will be moved on to affected communities in eastern DRC in the coming days.
