Korean Actor Lee Sang-bo Found Dead


South Korean actor Lee Sang-bo has been found dead at his home in Pyeongtaek, aged 44. 

The actor's agency, Korea Management Group (KMG), confirmed his passing, citing the family's wishes not to disclose the cause of death.

"We regret to inform you of the passing of our actor Lee Sang-Bo. At the request of his family, we are unable to disclose the cause of death. 

"His wake is being held at Room 3 of the Pyeongtaek Central Funeral Home. For privacy and protection of his family, we kindly ask the media and public to refrain from visits," the management said.

Lee Sang-bo, born in 1981, was known for his roles in dramas such as Private Lives, Miss Monte-Cristo, and The Elegant Empire.

His sudden death has shocked fans and the entertainment industry, with many extending their condolences on social media.

In 2022, Lee Sang-bo faced allegations of drug use, which were later proven to be a misunderstanding related to prescribed medication for depression. 

He had been cleared of all charges and had recently signed an exclusive contract with Korea Management Group, signaling a comeback to his acting career.

The funeral will be held at Pyeongtaek Central Funeral Home on March 29 at 10:30 am, with the burial site located at Pyeongtaek Memorial Park.
