Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has rejoined South African Premier Soccer League side Chippa United, five months after leaving the club by mutual agreement.
The Eastern Cape outfit announced the 30-year-old's return on their official X account on Sunday ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
"After taking time away, Stanley Nwabali returns to the Eastern Cape, and we are pleased to welcome him back to the club," the club said.
Nwabali departed Chippa United in February 2026 following a request for release that the club granted after careful consideration.
At the time, the Port Elizabeth-based side paid tribute to the Nigerian for his professionalism and service, saying his contribution to the club would always be appreciated.

The goalkeeper joined the Chilli Boys in 2022 from Katsina United and rose to national prominence during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
While there, his performances between the posts helped Nigeria reach the final of the competition.
His departure from Chippa without joining another club subsequently cost him his place in the Super Eagles.
The former Enyimba shot-stopper left out of several national team squads during his absence from competitive football.
His return to Chippa United will be the end of months without club action and opens the door to a recall to the national team setup.
