All the pupils and teachers abducted in Orire Local Government Area (LGA) of Oyo State have been rescued, the Presidency has announced.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, broke the news on Friday via his verified X account.

"Finally, all the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo have been rescued by our security agencies," he wrote.
Details surrounding the release, including whether a ransom was paid or the precise circumstances leading to their freedom, had not been disclosed as of the time of this report.
