Cambodia Denies Reports of Mass Exit Order for African Nationals

Cambodia has denied claims that it ordered African nationals to leave the country, describing a viral social media notice as false.

The Ministry of Interior said the message did not originate from any official government source.

It added that no new policy has been introduced targeting Africans or any other group of foreign nationals for removal.

Ministry's officials said Cambodia continues to welcome foreigners for business, tourism and employment, subject to existing immigration regulations.

The government further stressed the rumour began online and falsely suggested a deadline for Africans to depart.

Authorities warned that such misinformation could cause public concern and affect the country’s reputation.

Cambodian officials have therefore confirmed that reports of a mass exit order are untrue.
