The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed claims of alleged security threats in the Kuje area, describing the reports as false and deliberately misleading.
RoundReports understands that the rumours, which spread rapidly across social media platforms, suggested unusual patrol activity by security personnel around Wowo Garage in Chibiri, Shadadi Village, Shetuko Village, Kango Village and Passali.
Police spokesperson Josephine Adeh, in a statement issued late on Thursday, said investigations confirmed the reports were fabricated by “mischief makers seeking to spread fear and panic within the community.”

Adeh clarified that while routine patrols and deployments are ongoing in the area, they are precautionary measures to maintain public safety and should not be misinterpreted as signs of imminent danger.
Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, PhD, FCAI, has reinforced security presence across the affected communities to reassure residents of their safety and the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property throughout the FCT.
The public has been urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the command’s emergency lines: 08032003913 and 08061581938.
