Nigerian social media personality Blessing Okoro Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has been petitioned before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of cyberbullying, forgery, and a multi-million naira fundraising scam.
The petition, dated 8 April 2026 and filed by law firm SM Anyanwu & Co (Chieze Chambers) on behalf of cancer survivor Mrs Mbara Deborah, accuses the relationship blogger of manipulating medical records to deceive the public.
According to the document, Deborah, a beauty entrepreneur from Asaba, Delta State, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2025.
Blessing CEO, once a client of Deborah’s makeup business, allegedly obtained her medical files and altered them to falsely claim she was battling Stage Four cancer.
The petition states that the influencer used the falsified report to solicit donations, amassing over N300 million from unsuspecting Nigerians.
Counsel for Mrs Deborah described the ordeal as “painful,” alleging that while the patient struggled with her illness, Blessing CEO diverted funds into private accounts instead of supporting her treatment.

The family further claims they were subjected to cyberbullying when they complained about the fraudulent campaign.
A stamped copy of the petition confirms receipt at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja.
The family is demanding Blessing CEO’s immediate arrest and prosecution, branding the alleged exploitation of a life-threatening illness as “heartless.”
Blessing CEO has previously courted controversy online, but this latest case coincides with Nigeria’s tightening regulations on social media fundraising.
Should investigators establish a prima facie case, the influencer could face charges of obtaining money under false pretences, forgery, and cyberstalking.
