Tensions between two of Nigeria’s biggest music exports, Burna Boy and Wizkid, have escalated dramatically following a violent incident at a Lagos nightclub.
According to reports, DJ Tunez, Wizkid’s official disc jockey, was assaulted on Monday night after allegedly refusing to play Burna Boy’s songs.
Wizkid later accused Burna Boy and his entourage of orchestrating the attack, describing them as a “10-man gang.”
In response, Burna Boy released a viral video insisting he alone was responsible for hitting DJ Tunez.

He went further, publicly challenging Wizkid to a physical fight, dismissing the singer’s reliance on social media as his only strength.
Speaking in Pidgin, Burna Boy said:
“Wizkid come go dey tweet. Na internet their own power dey. We na real life our own power dey.
“I thought DJ Tunez go call his oga, and his oga go do something or send people but na tweet Wizkid con dey tweet.”
