The leadership of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has reiterated confidence that the five-star Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre, Yenagoa will be completed and commissioned in December 2026, as South Africa’s Edison Corporation pledged world-class service delivery for the project.
Speaking at the end of a one-day project management tour and workshop held at the Nigerian Content Tower, the NCDMB Executive Secretary, Felix Omatsola Ogbe, described the hotel as a priority investment for the Board and a potential catalyst for tourism and business travel in Bayelsa State.
Ogbe said the Board had resolved key technical and financial components of the project, including contracting strategies and scope of work, adding that progress would be closely monitored to ensure timely delivery.
He commended Edison Corporation and the project contractor, Megastar Technical and Construction Company, for maintaining momentum on site.
The Edison Corporation delegation, which includes the Radisson Hotels Group, said the Yenagoa facility would meet international five-star benchmarks and raise the city’s profile among global travellers and investors.

Edison Corporation’s chief executive, Vivian Reddy, said the agreement with NCDMB followed more than a year of negotiations and extensive documentation, a process he said reflected confidence in the project and its location.
He added that the company would oversee delivery from construction through furnishing and opening, working closely with the main contractor to achieve global standards.
Reddy, who led a South African business delegation to Nigeria in 1999 during the administration of Thabo Mbeki, praised the project team and described the hotel as set to become a regional benchmark for hospitality.
According to the NCDMB, the Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre is designed to serve as a strategic hub for industry conferences, investor engagements and high-level meetings, with the aim of boosting economic activity across Bayelsa State and the wider Niger Delta.
