The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo has stepped down from office.
Gwarzo's spokesperson confirmed on Friday that the resignation had been formally communicated but declined to elaborate on the reasons behind the decision.
The move follows weeks of friction between Gwarzo and the Kano State House of Assembly, which had raised allegations of misconduct and questioned aspects of his official conduct.
