2027: AA Party Unveils Digital Membership Portal for Grassroots Engagement

The Action Alliance (AA) has launched a digital membership portal aimed at modernising political participation and widening grassroots engagement across Nigeria.

RoundReports understands that the platform, unveiled in Abuja, allows Nigerians to register online and receive instant digital membership cards, cutting out the delays and administrative hurdles associated with manual enrolment.

National Chairman, Udeze Kenneth, described the initiative as a pivotal step in repositioning the party as a citizen-focused movement rather than a conventional political structure.

We are not just building a political party; we are building a movement that puts the people first,” he said at the launch.

The portal enables users to sign up using their phone numbers, removing the need for complex login processes.

Once registered, members are issued a digital card embedded with a QR code, designed for easy verification during party activities such as rallies, congresses and primaries.

Developed by Augustine Ugbede Thomas of Stinet Digital, the system incorporates real-time verification using phone numbers or National Identification Numbers (NIN), a feature intended to prevent duplicate registrations and strengthen data integrity.

Party officials said the platform has nationwide coverage, spanning all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with detailed mapping down to local government areas and polling units to ensure inclusive participation.

A live membership counter displays real-time registration figures, which the party said would enhance transparency and stimulate broader public engagement.

For members, the platform offers instant digital ID cards, access to party primaries, event invitations and the ability to update personal profiles easily.

Administrators, meanwhile, can monitor and analyse membership data through a central dashboard to support planning and mobilisation.

Thomas described the project as “technology serving democracy,” insisting that the system is scalable to accommodate millions of users.

He added that planned upgrades include SMS alerts, digital campaign tools, event check-ins, payment integration and a dedicated mobile app.

According to the party, the initiative forms part of its wider effort to modernise Nigeria’s political system and draw more young people into active political participation.

This is the future of political participation—transparent, inclusive, and accessible to every Nigerian with a phone,” the party said.
