Nigeria’s Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee has named 20 leading digital creators chosen from 8,591 public nominations to take part in a specialised training programme on the country’s new tax laws.
In a statement released at the weekend, the committee said the nominations, spanning more than 200 creators across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X, illustrated the rising public demand for clear, accessible explanations of ongoing fiscal reforms.
The final list, it added, was ranked by total followership across major platforms following weeks of submissions.
Those selected include Financial Jennifer, Onlinebanker, Don Aza, Mary Efombruh, Baba Ogbon Awon Agba International, Perpetual Badejo, Personalfinancegirl, Tomi Akinwale, Emeka Ayogu and Aderonke Avava.
Others are Odunola Ewetola, Christiana Balogun, Mosbrief, Chidozie Chikwe, Zainulabideen Abdulazeez, Chinemerem Oguegbe, Oyagha Michael, Ayomide Ogunlade, Ayọ̀dèjì Fálétò and Vera Korie.
According to the committee, the selected participants will undergo a tailored training session designed to deepen their grasp of Nigeria’s updated tax framework, enabling them to “deliver clearer, more balanced and insightful information” to their audiences.
Members of the public have been encouraged to notify any of the named creators by tagging them online. Each nominee must confirm participation by filling out an acceptance form before the deadline on Monday, 8 December 2025.
The committee also invited Nigerians to suggest topics they want addressed in the training, including specific concerns relating to tax reform.
It said the initiative forms part of wider efforts to expand public engagement, boost tax literacy and improve civic education around Nigeria’s evolving fiscal landscape.
