Veteran actor, filmmaker and comedian Okiki Adesina, widely known as Janmole, has died following a road accident on Monday.
The news was confirmed on Tuesday by Bolaji Amusan, President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) and popularly known as Mr Latin.
Mr Latin announced the death on his Instagram page, paying tribute to his colleague.
"May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace.
"May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen," he wrote.

Details of the accident have not been released by authorities, however, TAMPAN said it would issue a formal statement on funeral arrangements in due course.
Janmole was a well-known figure in the Yoruba film industry.
He built a reputation for his humour, screen presence and decades of work in Nollywood productions.
Until his death, he remained active among audiences and fellow actors.
The actor previously survived a fire incident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway nearly four years ago.
