NCDMB, CypherCrescent Launch Digital Skills Training for Nigerian Undergraduates

Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has partnered with CypherCrescent Limited to open registration for a new digital training programme aimed at undergraduate students in public universities across Nigeria.

The "Digital Transformation & New Technology Training" will run under the theme "Catch the Researcher Young Programme, CRYP." 

It is designed to equip 300 and 400 level students with modern technology skills, advanced research methods and industry-relevant digital competencies.

According to details released by the organisers, the programme will be delivered virtually and includes digital laboratories, mentorship from industry experts, and practical applied research experience. 

What students will get 

Programme highlights include training in Data Analytics and Cloud Computing, digital transformation frameworks, and research project development support. Participants will also receive monthly stipend support and access to innovation and incubation opportunities.

NCDMB and CypherCrescent said the goal is to prepare young talents for the future of innovation and technology development.

"Participants gain a strong foundation in research methodology, enabling them to approach academic and real-world problems with structure and confidence," the organisers said.

Students will also develop practical skills in digital research tools and data analysis aligned with science, engineering and technology domains.

Who can apply

Applications are open to 300 and 400 level undergraduates in science, engineering and technology disciplines at public universities in Nigeria. Students currently on Industrial Training, IT, are also eligible.

Eligible fields include Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science/IT, Data Science, Geosciences, Environmental Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, and Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.

Requirements and deadline

Applicants must be members of student-related associations, registered on the NOGICJQS portal, and have a CGPA of 3.5 and above in the last academic session. A laptop and internet connection are mandatory.

Registration closes on Monday, 15 June 2026. Interested students can apply via the official Microsoft Forms link provided by CypherCrescent.
