President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Dr Ike Neliaku, president of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), on his re-election to the board of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.
Neliaku secured a second two-year term during the alliance’s annual general meeting in Prague, Czech Republic.
The election was contested by representatives from member countries worldwide.
In a statement issued on Saturday 24 May, Tinubu described the re-election as an endorsement of Neliaku’s professional competence and leadership.
He said the result showed Neliaku’s commitment to advancing ethical and strategic public relations practice in Nigeria and internationally.
The president added that the outcome reinforced Nigeria’s growing influence in global communications and highlighted the reputation of Nigerian professionals on the international stage.

Tinubu also commended Neliaku for promoting excellence, transparency and innovation in public relations and communication management.
He echoed confidence that the renewed tenure would strengthen international collaboration and professional development in the sector.
"I wish you continued success in your renewed mandate to the global public relations community.
"I assure you that the federal government will continue to support initiatives aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s image and professional standing worldwide," Tinubu said.
The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management is the international confederation representing public relations and communication management organisations across the world.
