NAF Airstrikes Target Terrorists in Niger

The Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma Sector 1 says it carried out precision air strikes against terrorist groups in Rafi and Mariga Local Government Areas (LGA) of Niger State.

On Monday, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed the strikes followed credible intelligence on the movement and gathering of terrorists around Tungan Bako and Kasuwan Daji in Rafi LGA.

According to Ejodame, the Air Component, working with the Nigerian Army Space Command Regiment, conducted precision air interdiction strikes that disrupted the group’s operational build-up in the area.

A second operation targeted terrorists moving on motorcycles and on foot with rustled cattle from Tungunguna towards Uregi.

He further asserted that the group was identified and engaged, disrupting their movement and withdrawal capability.
