The family of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has announced funeral arrangements following his death on 11 May 2026, aged 40.
According to the notice, a service of songs will be held on Wednesday 10 June 2026 at The Monarch Event Center, 138 Lekki-Epe Express Way, Lekki, Lagos, from 4 pm to 6 pm.
A wake keep is scheduled for Wednesday 17 June 2026 at 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Azuikwukwa Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
The funeral service and reception will take place on Thursday 18 June 2026 at Mary Slessor School Field, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu.

Thereafter, the family said, interment will follow at the family house on 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Azuikwukwa Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
They also revealed the dress code for the events as white and asked guests to RSVP via WhatsApp only.
Ekubo was described in the notice as "a husband, son, brother, and friend." He was born on 10 April 1986.
Days after his death, an official family statement confirmed that Ekubo, whose full name was Ikenna Ekubo Okwaraeke, died at Evercare Hospital in Lekki, Lagos, due to complications arising from advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
