Bayelsa Police Announce Dates for Constable Recruitment Exam

The Bayelsa State Police Command has announced that the written examination for applicants seeking enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) as constables will take place from April 28 to April 30, 2026.

In a statement issued on Friday, the command said the examination would be conducted at Bishop Dimieari Grammar School in Yenagoa.

Applicants were advised to log on to the official police recruitment portal (www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng) from April 24, 2026, to confirm their eligibility and print their examination invitation cards, which will indicate their specific date, time and venue.

The command said candidates must present a pen, a National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) bearing a clear photograph, and a printed invitation card.

It added that candidates are required to dress in white shorts, a white T-shirt and white canvas shoes.

Reiterating that the recruitment exercise is free of charge, the police warned that any form of racketeering, fraud or financial inducement would attract strict sanctions.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Iyamah Daniel Edebor, urged applicants to disregard anyone demanding money or offering assistance outside official channels, advising candidates to rely solely on the approved portal and communications.

Edebor also cautioned fraudsters and impostors to stay away from the exercise, warning that anyone found exploiting members of the public would be arrested and prosecuted.

Applicants with further inquiries were directed to contact the Police Public Relations Department of the Bayelsa State Police Command.
