Police in Abuja have arrested four men accused of posing as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, to defraud a retired senior military officer of more than N150 million.
Investigators say the alleged ringleader, Yashim Kajang, was arrested on Tuesday, 24 March 2026, in connection with a fraudulent land deal involving retired Maj Gen AK Ibrahim and other victims.
The scheme centred on a purported transaction for Plot 1985 at Guzape II Cadastral Zone, measuring three hectares.
Kajang allegedly claimed he was working alongside the FCT Minister and the Director of Lands to secure official documents, collecting millions of naira in the process.
