Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has confirmed the club have tracked down and dealt with the source of damaging team leaks that surfaced ahead of both Champions League defeats to Paris Saint-Germain.
In the build-up to the last-16 first leg in Paris, French outlets published Rosenior’s starting XI hours before kick-off.
The second leg at Stamford Bridge saw similar revelations, with reports correctly stating Wesley Fofana would miss out as Trevoh Chalobah and Jorrel Hato formed the centre-back pairing.
Following an internal investigation, Chelsea believe the leaks came from outside the playing squad.
“We know (who it is). It’s not come from any place of malicious intent to me or to the team. We know where it’s come from and we’ve dealt with the situation,” Rosenior said at his pre-Everton press conference.

The fallout from the 8-2 aggregate defeat also saw captain Enzo Fernandez hint at uncertainty over his future.
However, Rosenior moved quickly to calm speculation, insisting the Argentine remains committed.
“I had a great conversation with Enzo this morning. He made it really clear how happy he is here, how much he wants to win, and how passionate he is for us to be successful. He said things can get misconstrued in translation, but for me he’s fully committed,” he said.
Chelsea’s preparations for Saturday’s trip to Everton have been hit by injuries.
Chalobah faces several weeks out after suffering a severe ankle problem, though scans suggest the damage is not as bad as first feared.
Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is also sidelined following minor groin surgery, while captain Reece James remains unavailable with a hamstring issue Rosenior described as “not serious.”
