The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, has announced its participation in the 2026 National Police Day celebration, scheduled to run from Monday, 30 March to Tuesday, 7 April.
RoundReports understands that this year’s commemoration will be historic for the Academy, as its cadets are set to take part in the National Police Day parade for the very first time.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu Rilwan, has amplified the importance of building a force rooted in professionalism and integrity.

For the cadets, marching in the parade is not only a symbolic gesture but also an opportunity to embrace national tradition, strengthen confidence, and deepen their commitment to service.
Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick A Atayero, showed pride in the cadets’ achievement, adding that their involvement proved the Academy’s dedication to producing officers who embody leadership, integrity, and community trust.
He upheld that the milestone aligns with the broader goals of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in fostering stronger ties with the public.
As the celebrations unfold, the Academy has invited citizens to join in honouring the dedication and sacrifice of police officers across the country.
