Video Claims to Show 2Baba Arrested in London

A video circulating on social media appears to show Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Face or 2Baba, being arrested by police officers in London.

The footage, posted on TikTok by blogger Tosin Silverdam, shows officers speaking to the musician outside what looks to be a retail store before leading him away with his hands cuffed behind his back.

The short clip has since attracted thousands of views and ignited widespread speculation about the circumstances behind the encounter.

Notably, the latest video emerged only hours after a separate clip surfaced online, appearing to show a woman believed to be 2Baba’s wife, Osawaru Natasha, confronting him inside a London shop.

In that footage, Natasha is heard accusing him of shouting at her repeatedly.

Details of the incident remain murky as the Metropolitan Police have not released a statement confirming whether an arrest took place, and neither 2Baba nor his representatives have commented publicly on the new videos.

The development follows earlier rumours in October that the singer had been detained in London after an alleged dispute with Natasha.

At the time, 2Baba dismissed the reports, saying his absence from a scheduled UK tour stop on 2 October 2025 was due to a sudden medical emergency.

In a message shared on Instagram, he apologised to fans who turned up for the show, writing: “First of all, I want to say to everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organisers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen.”

He also criticised those spreading unverified claims, urging social media users to stop circulating misinformation.

If una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This ‘allegedly’, I don tire,” he said.
