A 40-year-old mobile phone repairer from Cross River State has been found dead in a guest house along Azikoro Road in the Ekeki area of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, under circumstances that have prompted a police investigation.
The man, identified simply as Felix, was discovered unclothed in a room at the guest house in the early hours of Wednesday, 8 July 2026, after a cleaner raised the alarm.
According to reports, the woman said to have been with him was nowhere to be found when the body was discovered.
Eyewitnesses said several sachets of alcoholic drinks were recovered from the room before police cordoned off the area and evacuated the body.
The incident drew a crowd of sympathisers to the Seriake Dickson Shopping Complex, where Felix worked as a phone repairer.

Three people were taken into custody in connection with the incident, including the guest house owner and the cleaner.
Felix's brother, Dennis, was also briefly detained after he was found with the deceased's mobile phone.
Dennis was later released after explaining that a phone charging operator had handed it to him when attempts to locate Felix failed.
Police have yet to establish the exact cause of death.
Efforts to identify and locate the woman who was reportedly with Felix before the incident are ongoing.
