Shakira Draws Two Million Fans to Free Concert at Rio’s Copacabana Beach

Shakira’s free concert in Rio de Janeiro drew two million people to Copacabana beach, the city’s mayor has said.

The Colombian singer’s performance follows similar shows by Lady Gaga last year and Madonna in 2024, which were also attended by large crowds.

"I arrived here when I was 18 years old, dreaming about singing for you. And now look at this. Life is magical," Shakira told the crowd.

She sang several songs during her set, including "Hips Don't Lie", "La Tortura," and "La Bicicleta."
