The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq wanted over allegations of abuse of office and diversion of public funds.
EFCC published the notice via its website on Saturday insisting that "anybody with useful information as to her whereabouts should contact EFCC offices."
It listed her last known address as EN008, Okpo River, off Agulu Street, Maitama, Abuja.

Contact numbers were provided for anyone with information that could assist in locating the former minister.
52-year-old Farouq from Zamfara State was appointed by the late former President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2019 and served as the youngest minister in his cabinet.
The development follows a warrant issued by a Federal Capital Territory High Court in Apo, Abuja, on 16 April 2026, authorising her arrest.
