2027: APC Extends Deadline for Sale, Submission of Nomination Forms

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved an extension of the timelines for the sale and submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.

APC's Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon Durosinmi Meseko said the decision was taken at the party’s NWC meeting held on Thursday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

Meseko told journalists after the meeting that the sale of nomination forms will now close at midnight on Monday, 4 May 2026.

He added that the deadline for the submission of completed forms and accompanying documents has been extended to midnight on Tuesday, 5 May 2026.

Under the earlier timetable, the sale of forms was scheduled to run from Saturday, 25 April to Saturday, 2 May 2026, while aspirants were expected to submit completed forms by Monday, 4 May 2026.

Meseko explained that the extension became necessary due to the nationwide public holiday observed on Friday, which limited working hours, as well as the high volume of interest from party members seeking to contest in the forthcoming elections.

He stressed the adjustment was intended to provide aspirants with adequate time to complete their documentation and ensure a smooth and inclusive nomination process.

The APC urged all interested aspirants to take advantage of the revised deadlines and comply fully with the party’s guidelines ahead of the 2027 polls.
