Popular Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal has spoken publicly about her recovery journey following the circulation of a leaked intimate video in 2023.
In a reflective message shared on her birthday, January 1, 2026, the actress said the period away from social media and public engagements was deliberate and necessary, allowing her to focus on healing, self-examination and personal growth.
“Healing comes in different forms,” Lawal said, describing the time as one in which she confronted vulnerability and reassessed her priorities. “Thanks to everyone who heard my voice when I didn’t speak.”
