The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, has entered the final stretch of its 12th Regular Course admission process with the commencement of the Selection Board Exercise on Wednesday, 9 October 2025.
This crucial phase, which marks Day 3 of the overall screening, brings together high-ranking officials and institutional representatives to evaluate candidates who successfully scaled through the earlier stages.
The Selection Board is chaired by the Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, MSc (UK), MBA (USA), psc, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Police Affairs, the Federal Character Commission, the Police Service Commission, and the office of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
Also in attendance were the Academy’s Department of Psychology, Faculty Deans, Registrar, Provost, and other senior administrative officers.
Throughout the session, the board conducted rigorous assessments to determine the suitability of shortlisted candidates for admission.
At the close of proceedings, AIG Atayero issued a firm warning to applicants against offering or giving money to anyone in exchange for admission.
"Admission into the Nigeria Police Academy is strictly on merit, transparency, and due process. Do not fall victim to fraudsters," he said.
He further urged candidates to disregard fake social media pages claiming to represent the Academy, clarifying that its only authentic Facebook platform bears a blue verification badge.
Commending the applicants for their resilience, the Commandant advised them to remain alert and rely solely on reputable newspapers and official Academy channels for accurate updates.
He wished all candidates safe travels as the Selection Board Exercise continues in the coming days.
