Ayra Starr, Rema Set to Release First Joint Single 'Who’s Dat Girl'

Nigerian music stars Ayra Starr and Rema are set to deliver their first official joint single, "Who’s Dat Girl," scheduled for release on Friday, 17 October.

The announcement follows weeks of speculation fuelled by a viral clip from their joint appearance at the Global Citizen Festival in New York on 27 September.

During Ayra Starr’s set, Rema unexpectedly joined her on stage, and a close interaction between the pair sparked widespread debate over whether it was an intimate moment or stage chemistry.

Ayra Starr confirmed the collaboration via Instagram, sharing a bold promotional image where both artistes covered their faces with shirts bearing airbrushed portraits of each other.

Rema showcased his tattoos and toned physique, while Ayra matched his pose in a white crop top and jeans, a mirrored gesture that fans interpreted as teasing something deeper.

"What we’ve always wanted," one fan wrote.

"Oh my God, this gonna be a banger," another exclaimed.

"All I can say is OMO," a user added.

Though they have previously appeared on group tracks such as "Won Da Mo" from Mavin Records’ Chapter X album in 2022, and Mahalia’s "Roadside (+234 Remix)," "Who’s Dat Girl" would be their first collaboration as co-lead artistes. No features, no collective credits, just Ayra and Rema.
