The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police
(CSP) Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
CSP Iniedu, a native of Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Pure Chemistry from the University of Uyo and has undergone professional training in investigative interviewing, crime scene management, human rights-based policing, strategic communication and intelligence analysis.
Before the appointment, he served as Head of the Complaint Response Unit (CRU), Force Headquarters Abuja, where he coordinated public complaint management and championed transparency initiatives.
He also served as Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Police College of Information Technology, Kobape, Ogun State.

His other postings include Operations Officer, Maisandari Division, Yobe Command; Area Crime Officer, Umuahia Area Command, Abia; Staff Officer, IGP Secretariat; Second-in-Command, 50 Police Mobile Force Squadron, Kubwa; and Officer-in-Charge of the Force Headquarters Situation Room.
IGP Disu said he was confident Iniedu’s experience would enhance the Force’s strategic communication and public engagement in support of policing reforms.
