Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have rescued Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, during a late-night operation on Saturday, 6 June 2026.
The victims, who include the younger sister of former Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu, were freed around 7:30 pm following a gun battle with suspected kidnappers.
Police said two firearms were recovered from the gang during the operation.
Adegoke and the twins were abducted at about 7:30 am on Tuesday, 3 June 2026, while on their way to drop the children at school.

According to the police, sustained intelligence tracking and tactical pressure forced the kidnappers into a confrontation with operatives.
Two suspects were neutralised during the exchange of gunfire, while the victims were rescued unhurt.
Security teams are currently combing surrounding areas for other members of the syndicate.
Some are believed to have escaped with gunshot injuries.
