NAFDAC officials inspecting production equipment at Nigeria Police Academy entrepreneurship centre in Wudil Kano State

Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State, has taken a step towards producing its own bread and bottled water after hosting an inspection team from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

The NAFDAC team visited the Academy’s Entrepreneurship Centre on Thursday to assess facilities, operational processes, hygiene standards and the production environment set up for the proposed POLAC Bread and POLAC Table Water.

Police said the initiative is part of the Academy’s wider push into entrepreneurship and vocational training for staff and cadets.

Its Commandant, AIG Patrick A Atayero, said the project displayed the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, professional police training and self-reliance.

Atayero insisted the plan aligns with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to encourage innovation and sustainable development within the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

During the visit, members of the NAFDAC team praised the Academy’s leadership for advancing both academic and entrepreneurial development on campus.

The Academy stated the inspection is a required step before final approval for production can be granted.
