NCDMB Hosts Bayelsa Boys’ Brigade on Educational Tour of Content Tower


Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) on Tuesday hosted members of the Bayelsa State chapter of the Boys’ Brigade of Nigeria on an educational tour of the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa.

The NCDMB stated that the visit gave the group firsthand insight into the Board’s operations and its role in developing local capacity in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry and related sectors.

Speaking during the event, the General Manager, Corporate Communications, Dr Obinna Ezeobi, represented by the Manager, Government Relations, Mr Teddy Bai, urged the visitors to focus on personal development and skills acquisition for future careers in the sector. 

Ezeobi outlined the Board’s mandate under the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act, stressing that building capacity was key to staying relevant in any career.

As part of the engagement, the participants were introduced to the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Joint Qualification System (NOGIC JQS), a digital platform that enables registration and access to industry opportunities.

The tour included a guided walkthrough of key facilities in the Content Tower, with members observing operational areas such as the fire station, crèche, and other support infrastructure.

Other NCDMB officials present included Mrs Oyiza Lambart, Mr Bright Amatoru, Ms Petra Unuigbije of Corporate Communications, and other staff.
