The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 32 ships laden with petroleum products, food items, and other cargoes are scheduled to arrive at Lagos ports between January 12 and 30.
In its Daily Shipping Position, NPA stated that the vessels are expected at the Apapa, Tin Can Island, and Lekki Deep Sea ports.
The consignments include crude oil, aviation fuel, gasoline, petrol, condensate, bulk bitumen, bulk urea, general cargo and containerised goods.
According to the NPA, 10 ships and tankers are already at the three ports awaiting berthing, carrying diesel, crude oil, bulk wheat, petrol, fresh fish, raw oil, containers and bulk salt.
The authority added that 31 vessels are currently discharging cargoes at the ports, including bulk fertiliser, general merchandise, wheat, salt, diesel, soya beans, bulk urea, liquefied gas, petrol, fresh fish and containers.
It maintained that port operations remain steady, with measures in place to ensure the efficient handling and movement of cargoes across all terminals in Lagos.
