The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr Samuel Ogbuku, has been nominated for a national award recognising outstanding performance in public service.

According to an official letter issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Ogbuku has been selected to receive the Distinguished Award for Excellence in Infrastructure Delivery and Sustainable Regional Growth at this year’s Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS).

The notification, dated 21 November 2025 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, MS Danjuma, stated that the nomination followed a recommendation from the Advisory Council of the Nigeria Excellence Awards.

The award is scheduled to be presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, on Sunday, 7 December 2025, at 5:00 pm with guests expected to be seated by 4:30 pm.

The NEAPS ceremony is organised by The Best Strategic Media in collaboration with the OSGF and is designed to recognise individuals and institutions driving impactful public service delivery.

Furthermore, the letter directed guests and officials to contact the OSGF and TBS Media for further arrangements.

A brief line at the end conveyed the Permanent Secretary’s warm regards and congratulations to the NDDC boss.
