A Bayero University, Kano (BUK) student, Shafiu Auwal Ibrahim, who went missing four years ago, has been found alive in Kaduna State.
Shafiu, who lived in the Janbulo area of Kano before his disappearance in 2021, was discovered in a village in Kaduna, where he had been living with an Islamic cleric.
According to family members, the cleric said he took Shafiu in several years ago after finding him in a mentally unstable condition.
“He was found in a village in Kaduna with a cleric who said he took him in years ago when he appeared mentally unstable,” a relative confirmed.
The family voiced deep relief and gratitude for his safe return, saying they had long feared the worst.
Shafiu has since been reunited with his loved ones and is reported to be in stable condition as he continues to recover at home.
