Addressing the Corps Members at the end of the orientation exercise, Okpalifo reiterated the importance of discipline, integrity and dedication during their service year.

She urged them to represent the NYSC honourably in their respective Places of Primary Assignment (PPAs) and host communities.

The Coordinator encouraged the Corps Members to prioritise their wellbeing, reminding them of the availability of free healthcare through the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

She also cautioned against misuse of social media, indecent dressing and any conduct capable of tarnishing the image of the scheme.

Okpalifo warned against involvement in local politics and unsafe travel, advising them to avoid night journeys, use only approved transport parks and wear life jackets when travelling by water, stressing the need for security consciousness and carrying their NYSC identity cards at all times.

She urged the Corps Members to actively participate in the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to build self-reliance and reduce dependence on white-collar jobs.

Furthermore, the Coordinator advised full participation in Community Development Service (CDS) and adherence to procedures for allowance collection.

The event featured practical demonstrations on the use of life jackets by the Man O’ War unit, introductions of Zonal and Local Government Inspectors, and the presentation of commendation letters and gifts to Corps Members and camp officials who distinguished themselves during the orientation course.
