The Bayelsa State Government has announced plans to host a Mega Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation Summit on October 23, 2025, in a bold move to boost enterprise growth, innovation, and mentorship across the state.
The event, themed " A New Dawn for Bayelsa Entrepreneurs: Connect and Grow," will bring together some of Nigeria’s most prominent business leaders, innovators, and academics to inspire and empower emerging entrepreneurs.
According to a statement signed by Mrs Charity Kens Godwin, Technical Adviser to the Governor on Entrepreneurship Development, the summit will take place at the Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa, beginning at 9:00 am.
The government said the initiative aligns with the administration’s commitment to fostering a vibrant business ecosystem under the leadership of Governor Douye Diri and Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor, aimed at positioning Bayelsa as a leading hub for innovation and enterprise in the Niger Delta region.
Among the confirmed keynote speakers are some of Nigeria’s most successful entrepreneurs, including Chukwuma Innocent, Esq., Chief Executive Officer, Innoson Motors, and Dr Cosmas Maduka, President/CEO, Coscharis Group.
Others are Chief Robert Enogha Ayalla, CEO, Ayalla Hotels and Emily Group of Companies, Prof Omoankhanlen Joseph Akhigbe, Professor of Management and Director, School of General Studies, University of Port Harcourt, and Prof (Mrs) Ify Harcourt Wokocha, Department of Entrepreneurship and Marketing, Federal University Otuoke.
The summit is expected to offer participants direct access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and practical business insights that will enable them to scale their ventures and contribute to the state’s economic diversification agenda.
