Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has responded after social media users dragged her into a debate over the YouTube performance of Uche Montana’s latest film, Monica 2.
The discussion began when an X user questioned the speed at which Montana’s sequel racked up views, saying it had passed 5 million in under 24 hours.
The post compared the numbers to another recent Nollywood YouTube release, suggesting Abraham, who has a "huge fanbase," took a week to reach 3 million views with support from fans of Imisi.
"I doubt it's organic views," the user wrote.
Abraham quickly shut down the comparison in a reply on Sunday.
"Pls leave me out of this and let her enjoy her moment and time, won sepe fun yin ni, Abi kilode gan," she posted, using Yoruba to ask critics what their issue was.

The exchange comes after Montana celebrated Monica 2 hitting 10 million views within two days of its 2 May premiere on Uche Montana TV.
The film recorded 1.2 million views in its first four hours and crossed 6 million by the 24-hour mark, according to public YouTube figures.
Montana thanked fans for the milestone, posting: "10M in 2 days. No explanation, just God."
The sequel continues the story of Monica as she balances married life and family tensions, and has drawn praise for its storytelling and emotional depth.
