In his remarks, Diri called for stronger ties among Ijaw communities, insisting that cultural unity must come before political or ideological divides.
"I appreciate my brother governor from Taraba State and my kinsmen for this visit. It underscores the importance of strengthening our bond of brotherhood from time to time for the continuity of our shared heritage as Ijaw people," he said.
The meeting was read locally as a show of solidarity, with leaders from two states and a key Niger Delta figure coming together to reinforce regional relationships.
While no formal policy announcements were made, the gathering was seen as ongoing efforts to maintain dialogue between influential voices across the South-South and beyond.
