BREAKING: Arsenal Closer to Premier League Title with Win over West Ham

Arsenal moved within touching distance of the Premier League title after a 1-0 win over West Ham United at London Stadium on Sunday.

Leandro Trossard’s 83rd-minute goal proved decisive in a tense contest, putting the Gunners five points clear of reigning champions Manchester City with two games remaining.

The Belgian winger broke the deadlock late on after a tight, physical battle in which both sides created limited clear chances.

Arsenal held firm under late pressure, and West Ham thought they had snatched a stoppage-time equaliser in the 95th minute.

The goal was ruled out following a foul on goalkeeper David Raya.

Tonight's result means Mikel Arteta’s side could secure a first league title since 2004 when they face Manchester United on 18 May, depending on other results.

Arsenal have been top for much of the season and now hold the advantage heading into the final week of the campaign.

City, who have a game in hand, must win all their remaining matches and hope for an Arsenal slip to retain the crown.
