Troops of Operation UDO KA, working with other security agencies, have recorded fresh successes across the South-East, rescuing kidnap victims in Enugu State and arresting a suspected criminal network member in Ebonyi State.
According to the Army's statement on Facebook, the actions form part of the ongoing Operation Eastern Sanity, aimed at disrupting criminal activities and restoring security in the region
In Enugu State, soldiers of the 82 Division Garrison responded to credible intelligence about a kidnap attempt along the Akama–Iwollo Road in Ezeagu Local Government Area (LGA).
During the operation, the troops pursued the suspects and engaged them, leading to the rescue of four abducted persons.
The rescued individuals were identified as Chisom Kingsley and Chuoke Chinedu, both from Akama, as well as Jonathan Paul Chukwu from Akwa Ibom State and Patience John from Taraba State.
A motorcycle and a vehicle were also recovered during the operation.
The victims and recovered items were subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for further investigation.

In a related development, troops of Sector 2, Operation UDO KA, carried out a follow-up operation in Izzi Local Government Area (LGA) of Ebonyi State.
Acting on intelligence linked to the earlier arrest of a suspected insurgent commander and his associates, the Army said.
The operation led to the arrest of Chisom Agashi Ogadego, also known as “Baron,” described by the army as a key member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)/Eastern Security Network (ESN).
Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect was involved in kidnapping and other criminal activities within the state.
According to the military, information provided by the suspect enabled further operational gains, including the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, magazines and ammunition from a location within Izzi Local Government Area (LGA).
The army, under the banner of the Nigerian Army, reassured residents of its commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
Members of the public were also urged to continue supporting security agencies with timely and credible information to strengthen ongoing efforts against criminal elements.
