Afrobeats star Davido has been named Best International Act at the 2026 Liberian Entertainment Awards (LEA), beating a strong international line-up that included Rema, Gunna and Tyla.
The award was presented over the weekend at the Lisner Auditorium, with organisers praising Davido’s sustained global impact and his role in pushing African music onto some of the world’s biggest stages.
Interestingly, the latest recognition adds to a growing list of international honours for the Nigerian singer.
Davido's career has closely tracked the global rise of Afrobeats from a regional sound to a mainstream force across Europe, North America and beyond.

His win also shows the continued dominance of Nigerian artists internationally, as Afrobeats maintains its position as one of the fastest-growing genres in global music.
Since breaking into the international mainstream, Davido has remained one of Afrobeats’ most visible ambassadors, combining commercial success with a strong cultural footprint across multiple markets.
Founded in 2009, the Liberian Entertainment Awards celebrate excellence across music, film, fashion, sports and community service, while recognising both Liberian talent and outstanding international acts.
