APC Sets N100m Fee for Presidential Forms Ahead of 2027 Elections

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has set the cost of its Presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination forms at N100m, as it unveiled a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections.

Details of the timetable were contained in a document signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and released on Monday in Abuja.

According to the schedule, the APC has structured its nomination fees across five elective categories.

Governorship forms are priced at N50m, Senate at N20m, House of Representatives at N10m, while State House of Assembly aspirants will pay N6m.

In a move aimed at widening participation, the party announced concessions for female aspirants, youths and persons with disabilities.

Aspirants in these categories are required to pay only for the Expression of Interest form and 50 per cent of the prescribed nomination fee for their chosen offices.

The revised timetable sets out a compressed three-week window for the party to conclude its internal selection process.

Sale of forms runs from April 25 to May 2, 2026, with forms available at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

Screening of aspirants is scheduled for May 6 to May 9, covering legislative and governorship candidates mid-week, before the presidential screening on Saturday.

Primary elections will take place between May 15 and May 23, starting with the House of Representatives primaries and ending with the presidential primary on May 23.

Appeals arising from the primaries will be heard between May 18 and May 25.

The party said all payments must be made directly into designated accounts at Union Bank, UBA and Zenith Bank, adding that aspirants have until Monday, May 4, 2026, to submit completed forms and supporting documents.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka said the revised timetable was designed to align with the Electoral Act 2026 and the updated election schedule issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
