Nigerian music star Wizkid will stage a homecoming concert in Lagos this December, indicating his first headline show in the city in several years.

Wizkid confirmed the event on Tuesday, 2 December, announcing via Instagram that he will headline a performance titled GOAT: The Greatest of All Time Experience on Sunday, 28 December, at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Marina.

His announcement, accompanied by a concert poster and the caption, “Lagos!! See you soon!,” quickly attracted thousands of reactions.

According to details shared with the announcement, tickets are already on sale through the event platform FutureFest via www.futurefest.live.

Fans have begun securing early seats amid expectations that the show could sell out well ahead of schedule.

Wizkid, born Ayodeji Balogun, has spent much of the year touring Europe and North America.

His last major concert in Lagos drew huge crowds and remained a talking point for weeks, fuelling excitement around this year’s return.

Organisers say preparations are underway for a world-class production, though the singer has yet to reveal details about the set list, guest appearances or surprises planned for the night.

Interestingly, fans are already speculating that he may debut new material alongside his catalogue of hit songs.
