CDCFIB Announces Mid-Management Vacancies in Federal Fire Service


The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has opened applications for mid-management positions in the Federal Fire Service (FFS). 

RoundReports learnt that the recruitment drive targets qualified candidates from federal, state, or local government agencies.

The available positions include Deputy Controller of Fire (CONPASS 14), Assistant Controller of Fire (CONPASS 13), Chief Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 12), Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 11), and Deputy Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 10).

Applicants are required to submit their applications, along with all supporting documents, via the Board’s dedicated email, info@cdcfib.gov.ng, within one week of the announcement. 

Notably, candidates are permitted to apply for only one position; multiple submissions will lead to disqualification.

Statutory requirements for the roles include a minimum height of 1.65 metres for men and 1.60 metres for women, physical and mental fitness, a Letter of Identification from the applicant’s Local Government of Origin, evidence of appointment confirmation, and three years’ performance appraisal records (APER/PMS). 

Candidates must also provide certified true copies of their service record, letters of previous appointments, a medical fitness certificate from a government-recognised hospital, and proof of financial stability. Individuals with criminal records or personnel from paramilitary services are not eligible.

The CDCFIB stressed that the application process is entirely free of charge, adding that submissions must be in PDF format and received by 15 December 2025.

Bayelsa Acquires Two Aircraft for Commercial Operations

Bayelsa State has taken a major step towards boosting air travel and economic activity as it acquires two aircraft for commercial flight operations at the Bayelsa International Airport .
