Member representing Yenagoa/Kolokuma-Opokuma Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Oboku Oforji, has announced the completion of a major bridge project in his constituency.
Oforji described the project on Monday via social media as a legacy intervention to improve connectivity and boost development, while thanking God and acknowledging the support of key leaders and stakeholders in delivering the project.
He said the bridge was more than just an infrastructure initiative, stressing that it would transform lives, enhance trade, and unite communities for generations to come.
“This project goes beyond infrastructure—it is about transforming lives, boosting development, and connecting communities for generations to come. I don’t make promises; I deliver results. Today, the impact can be seen, felt, and experienced by all,” Oforji wrote.
He extended appreciation to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen; Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri; and the leadership of Opolo-Epie Autonomous Community for their support and hospitality.
According to him, the bridge stands as a “testament to purposeful leadership and collective effort,” adding that the benefits will be felt widely across the constituency.
Local leaders say the project is expected to ease movement, expand access, and strengthen socio-economic ties among neighbouring communities.
