Dickson Donates Medical Equipment to Hospitals in Bayelsa

Former Governor of Bayelsa State and Senator representing Bayelsa West, Henry Seriake Dickson, on Friday, donated medical equipment to General Hospitals in Sagbama and Ekeremor Local Government Areas (LGAs) to boost healthcare delivery in the senatorial district.

The equipment, presented on the Senator's behalf by stakeholders from both LGAs, was described as part of Dickson's continuous efforts to prioritise the health and welfare of his constituents.

At Sagbama, Hon. Fyneman Wilson handed over the items to the hospital management and urged proper utilisation of the facilities in the service of the people.

Responding, Dr. Bethel Amabuke, who received the donation, commended the lawmaker for consistently putting the people’s well-being first and assured that the equipment would be put to effective use.

Similarly, at Ekeremor, Chief Suru Oyarede presented the equipment to the General Hospital management. He lauded Dickson’s contributions to healthcare, education, infrastructure and human capital development over the years.

Dr. Abiri Tonworiyo, who received the donation, thanked the Senator and pledged that the hospital would maximise the equipment for improved medical care.

Senator Dickson, through his representatives, reiterated his commitment to strengthening healthcare services and promised further interventions in the district’s health sector.
