The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Bayelsa State, Mr. Biriyai Dambo (SAN), has charged newly employed lawyers in the Ministry of Justice to uphold professionalism, integrity, and excellence in the discharge of their duties.
Mr. Dambo gave the charge on Monday during his maiden meeting with the new legal officers at the Ministry’s Conference Hall in Yenagoa, where he disclosed the importance of diligence and discipline in strengthening the administration and delivery of justice in the state.
He noted that the new lawyers, who would be deployed across various departments, must demonstrate a high level of commitment and responsibility in line with the government’s vision of building an efficient and credible justice system.
Also speaking, the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Iyobosa Apulu (Esq.), urged the young lawyers to distinguish themselves through hard work and consistency, stressing that reliability and competence would earn them respect within the civil service and the wider legal community.
Directors and Heads of Departments in the Ministry were present at the meeting, where they welcomed the new legal officers and pledged their support to help them build successful careers in the public service.
